A Typical Day

The night before a daily running sheet of times and destinations is provided to your hotel room.
A typical day will start after breakfast with a tour briefing and outline of the day's skating. Then we will move off as groups within a group and make our way towards our destination. Public toilets are available along the skate tours and there will be opportunities to rest and/or buy snacks or drinks.

By lunch time we will have arrived at our half-way point. Some skaters will exercise the skate&shop option and finish their day's skating at the lunch spot returning to the hotel after lunch via guided public transportation (bus, tram or train).

In the afternoon the return leg of the skating day begins, with most tours being completed by 4:00pm. Dinner is normally around 7:00pm, so there is heaps of time to shower and freshen up before the stories of the day are recounted over a cool drink and a delicious meal.

Some evenings there will be activities organised, other nights you will be free to explore the City. With 50 other skaters around, you're sure to find someone to hang out with. That's a typical day on Skate Melbourne 2008.

Of course there are rest days and shopping to be done, the Melbourne Comedy Festival will keep you busy plus the many sights and sounds of everything Melbourne has to offer.

You can join in on the social activities or you can do your own thing, all we ask is that you nominate what you will be attending so that we don't leave you behind :)
