As a young boy who only learnt to ride a bike at the age of 15, was always hanging onto the wall at the roller-skating rink and couldn’t ice-skate for all the tea in China, he never dreamed that one day he would own a skate school and teach other people how to skate.
1993 - joined as a member of the legendary Monash Inline Skating Club.
1995 - began teaching inline skating as a hobby.
2000 - worked as a full time instructor with Blade Sensations
2000 - Tour Co-ordinator/Tour Leader in mid 2000.
2001 - October left Blade Sensations and formed the industry icon, Planet Inline.

Self-described as an urban skater, Monte uses skates as his primary method of transportation and spends an average of 40 hours a week with wheels on his feet.
Whether introducing timid beginners to new skills, or fine-tuning the skilled Planet Inline Instructors, Monte loves teaching inline skating.
From private skating lessons in Toronto to Instructor Development Programs in Singapore, from Intro 2 Sk8Park sessions in London to skating Venice Beach in LA; Monte's exposure to the world scene creates a consumate depth of experience.
In addition to being the first ICP Examiner within Australia, Monte has examined instructors in Singapore and London and has completed the Level 3 ICP Instructors course in Munich, Germany.
In 2002 he received the highest award an instructor can attain, the IISA/ICP Instructor of the Year.
Monte is married to the gorgeous Maria and has a beautiful daughter Lotus. |
