Spring is just days away, Father's day too and the madness that goes along with the annual RiverFestival. It will be my 2nd Father's Day and I'm looking forward to spending it with my family and enjoying whatever my beautiful daughter has gift wrapped for me whilst eating the breakfast in bed that my dear wife will be preparing for me.
I hope to see all of you on the Forest Lake Estate Skate Tour in two weeks time once everything quietens down from the RiverShenanigans.
The Skate Park Sessions are starting up again and if you have kids that haven't tried skating yet, then book them in to the Kids Holiday Program this Spring :) did you know that we do Birthday Parties as well? They are so much fun...I love 'em!
Here's what we have lined up for you over the next few weeks;
OPEN SESSIONS
The new OPEN SESSIONS have been going off like a skating frog in a skater's sock ;)
The new format allows skaters to drop in for a class when they can and also caters to regular skaters by offering a 4-week class price incentive.
No pressure to master skills by a pre-determined time, you can progress at your own speed and there will always be someone there to keep you company.
High achievers or skater-freaks as they come to be known can progress as fast as they like, with plenty of challenging tricks up the sleeves of the talented Planet Inline Instructors to keep them busy.
So if you've been telling yourself that you really ought to get back out there and do a few classes... Now is the time!
Ever wanted to know how to change your wheels and bearings?
There's so many ways to do it, but we'll show you the fastest and most efficient way for our climate and skating conditions.
Geared to prepare recreational skaters, (yes that's you) for anything that urban skating can deliver. These sessions have been developed to rapidly speed up skill acquisition in a safe, learning environment.
Every month we run a special Newbie Night that is extra cruisy, just to make it easier on first-timers and to give the volunteer marshalls a break from skating fast all the time.
Its the first Wednesday of the month, next Newbie Skate Night is September the 5th. Hope to see you there.
The last Wednesday of the month is the night that we run the most challenging of our WNS routes. Best not get those two mixed up when you're planning your evening :)
Sunday 16th September
